In this podcast, Dr. Anthony B. Miller, Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, provides an overview of his long career and research into cancer causes and nutritional factors.

Dr. Miller’s research has included many topics, from the epidemiology of breast cancer, to cancer screening, non-communicable disease control, and the environmental factors of cancer etiology, etc.

Dr. Miller discusses his path, research history, and interest in medicine. During his tenure with the British Medical Research Council, Dr. Miller oversaw much of the groundbreaking disease research being done there. Dr. Miller talks about his extensive work studying tuberculosis and lung cancer. He talks about his years with the National Cancer Institute of
Canada, as the director of their epidemiology unit, a position he held for 15 years. And he details some of the research he was involved with that demonstrated links between occupational hazards and increased risk for certain cancers.

Dr. Miller discusses cell phone use, and radio frequency, and he talks about some of the important international studies that have demonstrated a link between usage and an increased risk of certain types of cancer.
